Ubuntu Linux [Supported Linux Distributions] |
Ubuntu LinuxUbuntu offers one primary release version that it dubs its Long Term Support (LTS) release and a preliminary/beta release in-between major releases that does not promise long-term support. The LTS release is intended for production servers while the beta releases are intended for testers, people who want to have the latest versions of software, or those who want an early look at some of the changes forthcoming in the next major release. For servers, the LTS release is the sensbile choice. ISP Ltd. has provided assistance with preparation of an embedded Ubuntu Linux product, and built and supported many desktop Ubuntu machines for clients. We have experience maintaining servers running Debian, which uses the same package management tools as Ubuntu and is very similar in most aspects. If you have servers running Ubuntu we can help with maintenance, security, and monitoring. |
