100% custom: ISP Ltd. can work with you to develop custom web applications from scratch. In this case, you end up owning all the code as an asset in your company. Going this route offers the most flexibility, but also requires the most development time and, thus, has the highest cost.

Frameworks: The more common approach these days is to start with an open source framework. This gets your concept built in less time at a lower cost. On the down-side, this route does not give you complete freedom to choose how the end product will look or operate, but for most small businesses it offers more than enough flexibility. It also means that the end product is not entirely owned by you since it is built upon other people's software, but if you don't plan to sell it then this is a non-issue.
